1. Who We Are

GrowthEngene ("we", "our", "us") operates the GrowthEngene platform at growthengene.com — a LinkedIn outreach automation service. This policy describes what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

2. Data We Collect

Account data

When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and billing information (processed by Stripe — we never store raw card numbers).

LinkedIn session data

To automate LinkedIn actions on your behalf, you provide a LinkedIn session cookie via our Chrome extension. This token is stored encrypted and is only used to execute actions you configure. We do not access your LinkedIn messages, connections, or profile data beyond what is required for your configured automations.

Outreach and campaign data

We store the leads, companies, email addresses, drafts, and campaign sequences you create within GrowthEngene. This data belongs to you and can be exported or deleted at any time.

Usage data

We collect standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited, timestamps) and product analytics (feature usage, error rates) to improve the platform.

Google and YouTube integration data

If you connect a Google or YouTube account through GrowthMarket or GrowthEngene, we may collect the Google account identifiers, YouTube channel identifiers, channel names, OAuth access tokens, OAuth refresh tokens, upload status, and video metadata needed to identify the connected channel and publish videos you choose to upload.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and operate the GrowthEngene service
  • To execute LinkedIn automations and email campaigns on your behalf
  • To send transactional emails (receipts, alerts, campaign status)
  • To improve product reliability and performance
  • To respond to support inquiries
  • To comply with legal obligations

For Google and YouTube integrations, we use Google user data only to authenticate the connected account, identify and display the selected YouTube channel, and upload videos that you explicitly create, schedule, or publish from the platform.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your outreach data to train AI models without your explicit consent.

4. Third-Party Services

We use a limited set of trusted third parties to operate the platform:

  • Stripe — payment processing
  • OpenAI — AI email drafting (prompts include job and resume context you provide)
  • Apollo / Hunter.io — email discovery for contacts you target
  • AWS / Cloud hosting — infrastructure and data storage
  • PostHog / Analytics — product analytics (anonymized)

Each provider operates under their own privacy policy and applicable data processing agreements.

5. Google User Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell Google user data, YouTube channel data, OAuth tokens, or YouTube video data. We do not use Google user data for advertising, retargeting, or to train generalized AI models.

We share or disclose Google user data only when necessary to provide the service, comply with law, protect users, or act with your direction. This may include:

  • Cloud infrastructure and database providers that securely host and process the platform
  • Operational service providers that help with logging, monitoring, security, and support
  • Google and YouTube APIs when performing actions you authorize, such as channel lookup or video upload
  • Legal, regulatory, or security recipients if required to comply with applicable law or protect rights and safety

Service providers are only permitted to process Google user data for the limited purpose of operating GrowthEngene and GrowthMarket. We do not transfer Google user data to third parties for their independent marketing or analytics purposes.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and campaign data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., billing records for 7 years).

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Object to or restrict certain processing

8. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). LinkedIn session tokens are stored with additional encryption and are never logged in plaintext. We conduct regular security reviews and apply patches promptly.

9. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. We use analytics cookies (opt-out available) to understand how the product is used. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect product changes or legal requirements. Significant changes will be communicated by email to account holders at least 14 days before they take effect.
